Engraving Printing

Crafted with Precision, Engraved with Excellence: Unveiling the Artistry of Our Engraving Service!

Engraving is an intaglio printing technique in which a design is incised into a hard surface, traditionally a metal plate, such as copper or steel. The plate is then inked and pressed onto paper, transferring the ink from the incised lines to the paper. Engraving is one of the oldest and most important techniques in printmaking.

The process of engraving is as follows:

  1. The artist prepares a metal plate by polishing it to a smooth finish.
  2. The artist then uses a sharp tool called a burin to incise the design into the plate.
  3. The plate is then inked by rolling it over with an ink roller.
  4. The inked plate is then placed on a printing press and pressed onto paper.
  5. The pressure of the press forces the ink from the incised lines onto the paper, transferring the image to the paper.

Engraving is a very precise and time-consuming process, which is why it is often used for creating high-quality prints. Engravings are typically used for reproducing paintings, drawings, and other artworks. They are also used for creating maps, charts, and other technical documents.
